Message From The PresidentWell here we are nearly to the end of the year, November.
A number of events have occurred since the last Vigilant.
The annual shoot out with the National Service Association with a better result this year with a Draw, thanks to Keith Hancock.
Both Lorraine and I represented the Association at the 16th Battalion Cameron Supper at Irwin Barracks on September the 12th- a very enjoyable evening.
50 Members and partners enjoyed once again our Annual Dinner at RAAF Association Club in Bullcreek. The dinner was highlighted by the attendance of the Regimental Colonel, Brigadier Geoff Hand AM. RFD and Mrs. Hand, also one of our Vice Patrons, Lt. Col. Murray Drover CSM, the commanding officer of 11/28 RWAR.
Brigadier Hand gave a brief talk on the Reserve Army situation at this point in time- which was very interesting.
A special thanks to Piper Davina Goldthorpe.
I know we can't attend every function that is organized because of other commitments. The committee is in the process of getting together a forward plan for 2009 to help you plan ahead.
Our Mandurah Reunion was well attended with 25 members attending the Silver Sands for an enjoyable drinks and snacks afternoon on the 25th of Oct. As usual the Bunbury Boys were well represented.
The Association Xmas BBQ is on again on Sunday the 23rd of November 11.30 to 16.00 hrs. The last get together for the year and will be a good turnout as they all are.
