Anzac Day - 2008We urge all past members of any of our affiliated units to make a special effort to join us for this special occasion and march with pride to commemorate the service and sacrifice of all those Infantry Volunteers of WA, who have served this nation since 1861.
Although not an official Association Function, we are always welcome at either 11/28 RWAR or 16 RWAR canteens after the march in Perth for fellowship.
Regimental Dawn Services at Irwin Barracks:
As 11/28 Bn will be parading in Albany at Mt Clarence for the 2008 Dawn Service" there will be only one Infantry Service at the 16 RWAR Unit Memorial.
Members are urged to attend either service (Albany or Karrakatta) which will commence at 05.45 hrs.
Please note: A photo ID card (Drivers Licence) is necessary for entry to Irwin Barracks and parking is usually on the oval before proceeding on foot to each battalion area.
Anzac Day March in Perth:
The format of the march has been changed and assembly positions will be advised in the local newspapers a few days before the 25th of April.
The Grosvenor Hotel has been booked for a get-together after the march.
